Are you kidding? That’s spectacular. Definitely special. I’ve been to some great places, but I’d like to know where this one is… I want to go to there.
definitely switzerland, if I were better with recognizing mountains I could even tell where.. but it’s nothing special really, I hiked in similar places before
I thought of Interlaken as well. The place you refer to is Harder Kulm which is reachable by cable train.
It certainly looks like it, although I haven’t been there for some years now.
Yes, we went there. When we got up to the terrace, we were in the middle of the clouds. Couldn’t see a thing! And then the clouds parted and it was amazing!
For some reason it just looks like that it’s in some creeper’s basement with a mural stuck on the wall. I’ve been to Europe, and yes, parts of it do indeed look like that, but it still screams “psycho basement” to me for some reason.
Maybe because the colours look somewhat unnatural. I can believe that there is really a place like this but it also looks to me like someone went berserk on it with Photoshop.
Might be a high dynamic range (HDR) composite photo. Sometimes things such as clouds and other contrast areas can look a little strange after processing.
I thought mt pilatus at first too, but im not 100% it could be any mountain really, for the people saying “its shopped” get a life and go see the world
I know it’s not it, but there’s place like that I’ve been.
It’s called Planai Mountain in Austria (near Schladming town). It also has bar with view like this.
and lot of places in Austria and Swiss like this
I agree that’s beautiful, but for the other North Americans here, we’ve got some similarly beautiful mountain vistas in the Rockies. No need to go all the way across the Atlantic :p
Damned city folks. Nice, but nuthin´ special…
Are you kidding? That’s spectacular. Definitely special. I’ve been to some great places, but I’d like to know where this one is… I want to go to there.
Switzerland my friend
And this is by far not the only place to get a nice view there
Don’t assume this is something “city folks” think is special.
I’m from The Netherlands and live in a small town……..
We don’t have ANY sort of mountains over here.
Nice one putting it all in a box
Sometimes I wake up a 2:00am and just start painting or writing poetry, so yeah, I’m pretty cool.
Shopped. I’ve seen some shops in my day…
Really? If your such a know it all, then tell us what makes it shopped.
*you’re
lol
yeh i thought it looked kinda shopped too.
the clouds are kinda faded as if they dont belong
sorry for being a hater
seen this kinde places in austria its not shopped
(not this spot but a simulair spot)
I think it’s Zell Am See near the Gemran border.
It’s somewhere in Switzerland. I recognise the Eichhof umbrellas. And Switzerland really does look like that!
definitely switzerland, if I were better with recognizing mountains I could even tell where.. but it’s nothing special really, I hiked in similar places before
I thought so, too. This looks just like a place we visited in Ascona this last summer.
Looks like Interlaken. Can’t remember the name of the cafe, but you take a train almost straight uphill, and there it is. Cool place too.

I miss the mountains, should have never moved
Agreed… I too miss the moutains.
I know the feeling!

Looks like it was taken with a polarized lens. That’s why the sky has a gradient, the contrast is so high, and everything looks so unnaturally sharp.
Might be a high dynamic range (HDR) composite photo. Sometimes things such as clouds and other contrast areas can look a little strange after processing.
Isn’t this normal for about all pubs/inns in the alps? What’s so special about it?
Switzerland for sure. It’s not shopped, it’s HDR. Google for “Gasthaus Aescher”.
Is this on top of Mount Pilatus in Switzerland? That’s what it looks like, but the Alps all kind of look similar…
Pretttty sure it is? At least that’s what I thought of as soon as I saw it.
I thought mt pilatus at first too, but im not 100% it could be any mountain really, for the people saying “its shopped” get a life and go see the world
Send a Norwegian in to cut that stupid tree down.
I know it’s not it, but there’s place like that I’ve been.

It’s the Beausite Park Hotel
I agree that’s beautiful, but for the other North Americans here, we’ve got some similarly beautiful mountain vistas in the Rockies. No need to go all the way across the Atlantic :p
I think ive been playing skyrim too long cause to me this looks like skyrim
