What do you have against single coils? Different strokes for different folks buddy. To be fair though out of my 23 electric guitars 18 have humbuckers.
Ever hold one of the special “Old Hickory” Les Pauls (made from a fallen hickory tree from Andrew Jackson’s former estate)? Quite possibly the heaviest wooden guitar I’ve ever seen. Dean MLs (what Dime’s signature is) isn’t anywhere near as bad as a stock Les Paul, either…but any mahogany bodied Explorer/clone (Dean Z, Jackson Kelly, etc) is a chiropractor’s wet dream
I love my ’79 reissue Dean Z…and at least my chiropractor is hot! =D
If it does have Just one single coil that would be bad, it could have another single coil close to the neck or maybe even a Humbucker pickup. but if the body was made of metal wouldn’t the metal interfere with the pickup’s performance? I wouldn’t know because i’ve never seen a metal electric guitar.
Rouge made the Aluminator (aluminium body), and other than the sheer weight, it was a very good guitar. Guitars usually use hardwood for bodies because they project sound, and only absorb a small amount of the vibration. Metals don’t absorb any noticeable amount of sound, so it projects a lot more.
Also, pickups work on magnetism, so if you use a non-magnetic metal, there won’t be any interference.
Single coil pickup = Fail

I don’t play guitar that often, but I want this simply so I can go on stage and show it off to everybody.
Anybody know if this is for sale, and for what price?
That’s really metal, but must weigh a ton.
Can’t possibly weigh more than those awful Dimebag Darrell signature guitars.

Looks like something you’d find in a museum display case.
