What’s a floppy disk? What’s that song from? I think that song must be from a movie from before us 20-somethings were born. And floppy disks? Never used those either.
Direct hardware control of the motors. Turn ‘em on and off fast enough, you get a tone.
Friend of mine did this with an Apple IIe back in my high school library. Played ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb’ that way. Much cleaner tone, too. I suspect that he had more control, what with the older tech relying less on internal wizardry and more on the actual computer telling it what to do.
DIS IZ DA BEST VID EVA
This is all floppies are good for anymore lol
Good reuse of obsolete technology…

I’m 16 and I used to use floppy disks when I started programming.
You’re doing it wrong.

BTW… the song is the Imperial March from Star Wars

Spent thousands of dollars learning programming, just learned to make floppy disks sing
I’d sit through 90 minutes of this over 90 minutes of Cars 2. Money well spent.
Wow that sounds so epic. 0.o
