Agreed.
We start with Camera man behind him… well and good.
Later he comes to a tricky looking bend and a camera man is in front of him (dude x3 or something right), so where is the camera man who was trailing behind him?
So why not put THAT up as the “proof” of having one-shotted it, rather than one where we see 0-100ish metres, then a fade through black to him coming round a corner at 150m? It just looks suspicious like this.
they don’t call it a 900 on blades, its called a double axel and usually starts with another mans thumb in your bottom. And since when you get off calling your local ice rink the streets?
Rollerblades are for old men and women. The only time they are legit to wear otherwise is if you are playing hockey. For Christ sake they are attached to your feet and all you do is spin around like a figure skaters you fairies.
It’s still very hard to make something realistic enough without a very expensive professional studio and many long hours of effort. Since this was done with amateurs I’m pretty sure they lack the means to make something realistic. A one shot still would have been much more credible than a fade in the middle.
yes i couldn’t do that. but just because someone is able to do something, most other people couldn’t, doesn’t automatically make it interesting or exciting.
it is so boring that someone even cut it shorter so we don’t have to watch the whole thing 119 to 150 meters are just left out.
a German tv show once did a fake check and travelled to his town. He then did it again (after some years- this video is pretty old) but needed like 10 trials
this is his attempt i think 5 years after the first time he already did this.
nothing new to me but still amazing.
but to be honest he had less problems as kid when he did it the first time
Actually the first time he tried it he had to go back the next day. So it took him two days to actually get the trick. He had an easier time the second try.
Pfft. I can do that in Sonic Adventure 2.
LOOOOOOOL XD you made my day
greets
To be fair, I did have rocket skates. ._.
Did this remind anybody else of that scene from Scott Pilgrim vs. the World?
probably on purpose, eh?
Thank you Matt, all I could think was “He’s going to get to the bottom of that hill and explode into a big pile of coins and a Mithril Skateboard.”
one shot video or it didn’t happen
What I was thinking.
Agreed.

It is real, they have video one shot of him doing the whole thing, its a older video

It isn’t real if there isn’t proof. This isn’t proof. Anecdotal evidence of proof isn’t proof.
It isn’t real.
it is real, the guys name is Chris Haffey, he’s a professional inline skater, here is the making of this rail slide
he died!
Yeppers.
Now the question is, is it a Guiness record?
more like gayest rail ride
I’ve done that before in Jet Set Radio. Nothing special.
I bet this gave him enough courage to tell his dad that he is gay.
..and then he died
Try it with a board and you get a thumbs up. Stupid bladers.
try to do a 900 in street stupid skateboarder
Thank you

I’ve seen a dog skateboard before. Its actually pretty easy.
Would’ve been better if he slipped near the end and neutered himself.
Since it’s not one continuous film, there is no proof that it is for real.

he’s freaking rollerblading. Seriously. who cares. jesus. winblog fail. go home. you’re done.
and so what does he get at the end.. just satisfaction.. geez
Anyone notice he was backwards in the last shot with no shot of him turning around? Continuity editor needs to be fired.
anybody think back to scott pilgrim?
MOBY FTW
chris haffey ftw!!!
the best for a long time (aragon has no beard that’s the difference)
Did anyone else notice this was the music from Ocean’s 11
The inner ear truly an amazing invention.

But… how could he survive not succeeding? He’s gotta be going fast with no helmet or pads. He may not die, but I’d think there’d be injuries.
JET SET RADIOOOOOOO!!!
welcome to the xtreeeeems games!!!!
representing …. bozo …. ace ventura … aaaaand tony haaaaaawk
I’ve seen a video of someone doing that in the same location a few years ago. (=
here is your one-shot starts at 2:50
its the same guy like in the posted video but a few years ago
this is from a german tv, featuring chris haffey, an american skater.

This guy has played Jet Set Radio Future apparently.
+10 internets for epic rail ride. -9 internets for not wearing helmet.
Ok, he did a grindy thingy at the rail, the proof is there, next win
