  8. Cyberkedi says:

    I WANT ONE!!!!!

  9. MaxArt says:

    Not only math. That’s some real nerd stuff!

    • Steve says:

      Also known as…. math.

      • Pointers says:

        I guess you can call hex and binary as just “math”, but they are more like “computer science”. Well, I guess compssci used to be called computer math so you may still have a point…

  10. Bob-H says:

    You might mislead someone if you tell him it’s 3! o’clock.

  11. darthnaner says:

    Does that thing come with a calculator?

  12. Dave says:

    Conflarnit, I’m so far removed from actually using math I can only figure out exactly half of these. You young whippersnappers and your new math and your protractors and metal compasses and abacuses.

  13. Brittany says:

    There you are for purchasing!

    My geek-tastic-ness is research related ;)
    The boyfriernds is math…and I must have this watch for him!

  14. portcourt says:

    the equation that is supposed to represent 5 aactually equals 4

    • Epithumia says:

      Assuming phi is the “Golden ratio”, which I admit to never having heard of before, 5 is correct.

      • Hapqy says:

        In the absence of any other context, I’ve always understood phi to represent the golden ratio (sqrt(5)+1)/2).

    • Manfred says:

      nope – if we let s = 5^(1/2), then phi = 1/2 + s/2 (the golden ratio). so, 2*phi = 1 + s and 2*phi – 1 = s, meaning (2*phi -1 )^2 = s^2 = 5.

  15. Bob-H says:

    For neatness, I would prefer a dial of a single mathematical system. I like the binary representation of ’8′ — a dial of numbers represented by 0s and 1s would be cool.

  16. jen says:

    I’ve seen these several places. We have a wall clock version in our house.

    they are easy to find on the internet.

  17. Yuhan says:

    hey anybody seen the 6.9 infinite on the 7th hour hand? got me lolling

  18. mvdejong says:

    Want !

  19. Rehash says:

    *Maths.

    As in ‘mathematics’.

  20. Lerrinus says:

    Ow. This watch makes my brain hurt!
    No, I was never good at math! :-(

  21. Gretgor says:

    It’d be cooler if the wrist were a mobius strip!

  22. Odd Todd says:

    My dad has a wall clock version in his office. I also would think that this would be a good gift for a math teacher or professor. Diamonds don’t really last forever, after a really long time the turn into graphite. Better get your lover platinum.
    ~~~~~
    Thank you, that was my random statement of the day.
  23. Rico says:
    I am buying this. NOW.
  24. z says:
    The “4″ appears incorrect — 2^(-1) mod 7 is just 0.5
  25. Hylden says:
    I have this as a clock. It was a gift, but I think it was from thinkgeek.com
  26. tokrazy says:
    Am I the only person who noticed that Pi is missing?
  27. Kristin says:
    I. HATE. MATH.
    That is all.
