Of course, given the van driver is conscious enough to respect the motorcycle parking spot, he/she will probably also leave ugly scratches on the motorcycle if it bothers him/her, no matter how many white ribbons the van has.
and here i thought a parking space is for parking your vehicle in it whether it be a BIKE or a 4-wheeler. I’ve seen 4 wheel drive trucks parked in compact car parking only, etc…
Years ago my dad worked in college ROTC and a lot of the department rode, so the designated motorcycle parking wass frequently used. College students being who they are, one of them inevitably made the mistake of putting his jeep in the bike parking. I wish I had pics. It would’ve been worth a “suddenly, motorcycles” caption.
Possibly. Does indeed resemble one, and if that’s a Honda CBR it’s probably 250cc+ or so. Have a 125 cc Honda CBR myself, and it does look quite like that, only smaller. Would be fun to test that one, though.
I did the exact same thing once. But with my friends. A total of five motorcycles and we locked the car in and waited until the owner of the car came out from the store.
Not once single word. He; a 18-20 year old boy; sat in the car with a look that said “i’m afraid” and just waited till we moved the bikes. He will never ever do the same mistake again.
Anyone who is low and inconsiderate enough to park in a non-parking spot to begin with is going to be too stupid to see if there is a short motorcycle behind them. I’ll bet this story ends with the cycle being run over by some moron.
Alright, so someone’s moronic enough to park their ford explorer in a motorcycle parking spot, so the motorcycle driver parks at the car’s rear. This motorcycle’s not tall enough to be visible in the rear-view mirror. Therefore, that motorcycle is SCREWED!!!
We used to do this when I worked for Australia Post. We used Honda CT110s and had spaces marked “Postal Vehicles Only” just for us and the mail vans outside of shopping centres. People would often park in them because they were “only going in for a few minutes”, so we’d surround them with several postie bikes and then go in for lunch. Whats even funnier is that this would give enough time for the coppers down the local cop shop to notice and ticket the offending car.

Last time i checked, a Ford Explorer is an SUV, not a van
. . . Really?
And motorcycles need special parking because…?
Because the fury I feel when I’m looking for a parking spot and find a motorcycle taking one up all by itself is immeasurable.

Just attach a post-it before leaving: “Don’t even think about it, I noted your plate number”.
I would have done the exact same thing !!!! Love it
Need someone to park in front of the guy too

I would wager there very well could be someone parked in front of him, there are spaces on the other side, could be just blocked by the SUV
Yeah, unfortunately it looks clear in front of the Explorer judging by the reflections on the neighboring cars
That bike is just sexy.
Looks like a Honda CBR?

that is an 07+ cb600rr
I believe it’s a CBR600RR.
It’s definitively not a 125. the 125 has thinner tires.
Your move Ford
I choose reverse 4×4 peel out, with a drag Honda CBR down the road combo.
Well-played, bike man.
God I hope there’s a toll taker in front of it.
Nice move, but I’d be afraid Mr. Van Guy would back up over my bike … or least do something to mess it up.
And if he comes back and finds his bike trashed, then he has a pic of the person’s license plate and can call the cops
Double win!
+1 to this.
A true douchebag will simply back over the bike.
1. lift/move bike
2. back out ford explorer
3. replace bike
4. watch biker’s stunned confusion
5. ??????
6. profit!
Except he probably wouldn’t be considerate enough to do that.
I would to, which is why I’d take his license info down before I left.
It’s a Honda 2010 CBR 600RR

*lol*
respect!!!
Would probably be funnier if you couldn’t just kick up the kick stand and move it out of the way.
you’d be surprised how few people actually know how to put a bike in neutral
The wheels lock, as well as the steering column.
He probably locked the wheels which is very possible.

It’s hard to tell if that ribbon on the SUV is pink or yellow, but I have my suspicions.
It looks pink to me. I still would have just fowarded a picture of the the vehicle and plate to the cops, rather than risk my bike.
Like the cops would do anything.
Probably send him a ticket in the mail. I’ve seen it done.
You are unfortunately right.

Cool Thumb.
Hahahah this is so hilarious. it is my brother’s CBR 600rr. He has the license plate in the picture. The guy didn’t do anything to it.
the reply button likes to be touched
