  1. Metal Joe says:

I can see the operators legs, but I don’t care. I want that for halloween.

    • One Skunk Todd says:

I don’t think those are the operator’s legs. I think that’s who he had for lunch yesterday.

    • drunken_coyote says:

I thought it was odd how the legs in the camo pants stuck out more when it was outdoors than when it was in the school…
And if you find one, post where you got it, I want one too.

      • Haxis says:

        OH MY GOD YES!

        • Strangeknight says:

if I’m not mistaken, it’s one of the dinosaurs from “Walking with Dinosaurs”. We took my 4 year old nephew to go see it out here in Anaheim when it came through, and that’s exactly how they did the smaller velociraptor dinosaurs. In the arena it wasn’t as clear that the legs were ‘stuck’ to the pants as it was darker, but you could still tell there was someone walking the dinosaur around. If they ever do a second run of that show, GO SEE IT! It was absolutely phenomenal how alive they made all the dino’s seem….

    • Dances with Lasagna says:

Brilliant. Just brilliant. +10,000 internetz to whomever invented this most awesome costume.

  2. pdxghr says:

I wonder how many kids pissed themselves … lol!

  3. sevpay says:

    BEST. COSTUME. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. K says:

This is f**king awesome, sadly it took me 40 seconds to realize the human legs. :-(

    • Zombiedude says:

I know, I didn’t notice the legs a first either.

    • kake79 says:

Ha! Don’t worry, I’m with you. I was too busy being impressed by the movement of the head and the like to notice at first. At first I thought it was remote-operated which would’ve been even more kick@$$.

      • DeliriousRaptor says:

That was my exact thought! then hen they showeed the dino and cones i was like ‘oh…..still pretty bad ass though.’ i was so crestfallen.

  5. Zombiedude says:

    That. Is. SPARTA!

  10. IcyTicey says:

That is the baby T-Rex from the Dinosaurs Live! stage show. I took my nephew to see it a few years ago when it was here in Phoenix. It was pretty awesome.

  11. Manda says:

My little kids self woulda totally pissed her pants LOL.

  12. Mark, Sr. says:

I am an adult man, and went to an indoor presentation at the museum. When this creature came out from the dimly lit shadows, I, honestly, was shocked for a second because you couldn’t see the operator’s legs right away, and it moved so fluently, . . . I think I peed a little :-P

  13. EtTuSliggy? says:

Many a pant were peed this day.

  14. slaggingham says:

    That. Is. Awesome!

  15. RedriderX says:

  22. It’s the raptor, i knew this day would come!

  23. Mitochondria says:

I’m in my twenties and Oh My God I want to be there! Being scared as a kid is so fun! Did you see how they’d scream in earnest terror and then laugh as it turned away to run after someone else? So cute. All we got as guests at school when I was in were policemen and the occasional clown or magician. I certainly would have loved this!! I’m so jealous of those kids; they’ll never forget that. :) Thumbs up to that principal!

    • Nogbad says:

I agree wholeheartedly, this is so cool. all we had at school was a show by a police dog handler. a dino handler would have been better. and they can feed them on the crims when they are caught too.
      where can I get one??

      I Want One NOW!

  24. RobotPoniesN7 says:

Dear Lord!! Oh how badly I would love to have been there…<3 Those kids are so lucky.

  25. ThatCanadianGirl says:

A job that allows you to scare little children? *sniff* B-beautiful…. *wipes away a happy tear*

  26. Court says:

boom boom acka lacka lacka boom. boom boom acka lacka boom boom.
Open the door, get on the floor. Everybody walk the dinosaur!!

  27. Mr47 says:

    Must GO! Must BUY!!

  28. CaTaLYST says:

now you got to invent invisibility pants and it’ll be the best costume eva!

  29. Miku says:

Found my Halloween costume for this year!

  30. Jomar says:

“And now back to math class!” Poor teachers who has to follow that.

  31. over9000 says:

wow..I totally didn’t see the operators legs at first, but still this is AMAZING!! I’d love to see something like that up close and personal.

  32. Aldebaran says:

Soviet Бойко, doesn’t know about dinosaurs :) )

  33. Liz says:

Couldn’t find the costume anywhere – this was the best I came up with!

    http://www.geekologie.com/2009/04/sexiest-dinosaur-costume-ever.php

  34. AriesDelta says:

    Yeah it’s a baby t-rex, not a velociraptor.

    • DrunkenShark says:

if it opened a door, it’s a velociraptor ’cause only the raptors were smart enough to do it… Jurassic Park taught that

  35. Kass says:

Absolute win, I would have loved to have one of those on school when I was a kid

  36. Gatch says:

Luckily it wasn’t an inner city school. Although video of a room full of 7 year olds opening fire on a dinosaur would have been priceless.

  37. MonkeyBoy says:

now if it bit the head off a kid…

  38. otto-moe-bill says:

This is the unholy spawn of a man and a raptor…

  39. Rob says:

Can’t really laugh about traumatized children ….

    but still … great performance!

  40. lalitarock says:

is it giving birth to a human? :o

  41. Ernie says:

Goddamnit, all my school got was some lame old religious fart explaining easter and eating charcoal because he said it could filter water and therefore it could filter him.

  42. Mike says:

    Man, my childhood sucked.

  43. sam says:

Barney finally manned up and joined a gym

  44. James says:

So how many of those kids had nightmares that night.

  45. nitpicker of Midgar says:

I kept imagining the Calvinosaurus, gobbling up children mcnuggets.

  46. Lichruler says:

Hmph… Why is it the cool things happen WAY after your out of school. All I ever got at my school were some bad actors talking about conserving water, or a bad ventriloquist, or a police dog that didn’t respond to orders. And yet, now here are these kids getting a f**king baby T-rex! (Yes I know it was a guy in an outfit, but none of us noticed at first!)

  47. Amy says:

Cause traumatising children for life is hilarious.

  48. Ash says:

I saw this costume of Star king! It was awesome, The suit is like 20 kilos or so… But the Guy on Star king had a better roar…
It scared the boys from Super Junior s**tless and they even let Leeteuk wear teh suit for a bit!!

  49. Tamaya says:

I just finished telling my son dino’s were not here any more. I don’t think I would be very convincing if he saw that.
Velociraptors were actually quite small ( smaller then a retriver) nowhere near the size in the Jurassic Park movies.

    • Snark says:

Not true. They found raptors very near the size of those in the Jurassic Park movie in Utah. (Most weren’t that big, but some were, and they’d be blinking terrifying.)

  50. DrunkenShark says:

APTN… love that channel: they sometime make movie nights where they would show the same movie over and over again, even more when it features actors of aboriginal descent…
Last time I watched Speed like 3 times in a row XD (Keanu Reeves is part native hawaiian I think)

  51. Brandon says:

That’s from the Walking with Dinosaurs shows. I went to one of their shows, and it kicked ass.

  52. sens says:

i’ve seen that one in real on the expo near the australian pavillion

  53. Stefan says:

    That was very very impressive!

  54. lurkitty says:

…And many pants were peed that day.

  55. derkaderka says:

    coolest thing on the planet,

    evar

  56. Mimi says:

Ket me be the 88th to say that that is the most awesomest SPARTA worthy costume in existance!!! OMG

  57. Totto says:

    Collective nightmare in 3.2.1….
Epic costume, I want it just so I can walk through my town..
    .. Like a boss!

  58. Crows says:

Best school guest ever. If only the school visits were that cool when I was that young……..I am so jelous!

  59. Grant says:

I could be wrong, but that looks like Erth.
    http://www.youtube.com/user/ErthAustralia

My kids loved it – screamed along with all the others but loved it.

  60. Muldoon says:
