Same here…but why does a bolt-action rifle have a ramrod???
If I’m right, it look like an old Mosin-Nagant Carbine which would mean the ram rod is a cleaning rod used for cleaning the barrel in the field. Most likely I’m wrong though, just my first impression.
No, you got it. The barrel bands on the front of the stock, the trigger guard, and the disctinct shape of the bolt are a dead giveaway, not to mention the overall shape. Whoever drew this is awesome.

It is used for cleaning (pushing cleaning patches through the barrel).

the cleaning rod was put where the ramrod was. Having a ramrod meant you didnt need a cleaning rod. to the generation that grew up with a ramrod, not having a rod there looked incomplete
I’m gonna buy a new rifle just so I can take the bolt out and make a lock like that with the bolt out of a real gun.
