  1. Freerefill says:

There are those rare, fleeting moments when one human being connects to the heart of another, strangers though they may be. And when they are connected, magic happens.

    • Sarge says:

And then some nut dedicates a pizza to Satan, and you realize that maybe you don’t actually want to get all that close to strangers. You know, just in case they want to rip out your heart and feast on it.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go re-load my shotgun and check the locks on my doors.

      • Shipoopi says:

        Satanism isn’t really scary

      • Strawberry says:

it’s only satanic if the point of the star is facing downward-this one is facing up, making it pagan, totally different :) plus, it’s pretty funny they actually cut it like that, who thinks of stuff like that XD

        • Bob says:

I had a pizza about a month ago from a co-worker, who requested that I cut it in a pentagram. Difference between his pizza and this one is that his had 1/2 & 1/2 toppings, so I had to cut around that! LOL

      • GothicZombieKitteh says:

This pentagram isn’t satinisim, it’s Wiccan.
        I would know.

        • MysteryJoker says:

The pentagram isn’t Wiccan, It’s mathematic.
          Intelligent people would know.

          • mstrauss says:

            Have an internet.

          • tomatosz says:

But the fact that the pizza itself makes a round circle around the pentagram makes it a sort of pentacle, which makes it Wiccan again.
            Wiccans would know.

            • tomatosz says:

Oh by the way, I’m not saying it’s NOT mathematic, just saying it’s also Wiccan, and a known symbol for Wicca.

              • Kleanthes says:

Its also a Christian symbol too.

                • tomatosz says:

I know, but the cross is a more common symbol now.

                  • Phoenix says:

Many people don’t know that an upside-down cross is Christian too. It’s called St. Peter’s cross because he asked to be crucified upside-down as he felt unworthy to die in the same manner as Jesus. So an inverted cross is not necessarily disrespectful, but of course, it depends on the intent of the person in question. Now turning a crucifix upside-down – that’s always considered disrespectful.

                    • Shipoopi says:

I assumed that was common knowledge

                    • Kincyr says:

the upside-down cross is common in the Vatican.

not to Godwin this thread, but Hitler did the same thing with the ancient Manji symbol, turning it into the swastika and inverting its meaning

                    • ihazkitkat says:

compleatly true, but as a wiccan i reconized this at a pentagram (its also on the recite). meny people have different views on different symbols. lots of symbols have been twisted by hollywood and misconseption. my mother always thought a pentagram was satanic (she doesnt know im wiccan).

          • Satori says:

Technically if you count the sides, it has 10 of them. A pentagram only has 5 sides.

      • gryphœmia says:

the pentacle is not related to satan worship which is itself not related to the church ov satan.

        the more you know.

      • Matt says:

I’d take a Satanist over a Evangelical any day.

      • Crystallia says:

As an actual practitioner, I feel offended that you:

a.) Think this is a pentagram, when it is in fact a PENTACLE.

b.) Think we rip out peoples’ hearts and feast on them. We do nothing of the sort.

        Have a nice day!

    • Acorn's Wife says:

Cudos to my hubby who noticed the pentaGON in the center of the pizza. Oh, we’re Wiccan, and ALL of our coven love pizza. Guess what we’re having delivered for our feast next gathering? Debate on ladies, and gentlemen…….

  2. Ron says:

    That’s a pentacle not a pentagram. Fail.

  3. pseudocube says:

I’m officially not going to any of the failblog sites anymore. I’ve just realized that you guys get all of your content from Reddit. I bugs me knowing that you get your content from somewhere else, slap a label on it, and pass it off as original.

  4. Roblog says:

Duh. Everything on the internet is cross posted. In fact it was probably the same person that submitted it to reddit that put it here too. Not every person cares about reddit, so people try to get maximum exposure for their lulz.

Oh noes… I won’t watch discovery channel anymore… The same information is in an encyclopedia! They are just ripping off britannica!

  5. Ozzy says:

Shaaaaron, did they deliver my pizza yet?

  6. zombiehampster says:

That’s a pentacle. I know some people use the word interchangably but a pentagram is the upsidedown pentacle that Satanists (ect.) use. A pentacle is used by those who practice witchcraft and wicca (for those of you who haven’t been brainwashed by a major religion witches and wiccans DO NOT believe in Satan. If they tell you they do then they are a Satanist. Satan is a christian “thing” anyway)

    • TheCaoth says:

      Pentagrams are not necessarily upside-down.

    • Ichigo says:

      Yes i am wiccan

this pizza will be good for a coven party or a sabbat party XP

    • ohnothepenguin says:

A pentacle– at least associated with witchcraft– is usually just a star, not in a circle. A pentagram is the star inscribed in the circle. The inverted pentagram is the one associated with Satanism (inverted meaning it is upside-down). This is just my understanding, though.

And I second the not believing in Satan part- people tend to lump Satanists, Wiccans, and witches all together out of ignorance.

    • mstrauss says:

In older occult circles the word pentacle applies to any amulet, although in many neo pagan beliefs it is a five pointed star withing a circle.

The pentagram has been used all over the world by a variety of religious and occult groups. Including some sects of christianity. The Wiccan thing of saying “Hey that’s not satanic, that’s ours!” is more than a little bit silly considering how young Wicca is as a religion.

  7. just me says:

Maybe they did cut it into an upside down pentagram, but someone turned the box, or the picture was taken from the wrong side. Since you can’t tell which side is up in a pizza, we will probably never know.
The pentagram may originally have been on it’s side, for all I know… :-)

  8. Aramaki says:

Damn, i wish i could do puns like that over here in Germany.
But there are several problems…like…find a pizza guy who has a website with “special instructions”…or find one that has this and knows what a pentagram is -.-

    • ScreenOrigami says:

Check out http://www.yourdelivery.de/ , they have a form input for „special instructions“ („Spezielle Angaben“). Haven’t tried the pentagram thing yet, but probably will on my next order. :-D

    • Answer says:

Mate, if you order Pizza in Germany online, there always is a “special delivery instructions” section, so e.g. the delivery guy knows which entrance to take, to watch out for the dog of the neighbour, etc. I know that since I have tried north of a dozen pizza delivery services all over Germany, so know your facts before post something…

  9. d says:

Also a pretty good Customer Service WIN!

  10. EuphonySquared says:

For God’s sake, it’s a pizza not a block of lead; you can flip it upside down and it’s a pentagram…

  11. TB Tabby says:

    Wait…I’ve seen that pizza before!

  12. Oh wow, too funny! Epic win for the pizza company for actually doing it. I’d order from them just for that fact!

  13. Rook says:

    Dammit people…Ok… here it is.

A Pentacle is a magical talisman usually inscribed on a metal disk. it is often a 5 pointed star inscribed in a circle (and common usage in Wicca defines it so), but doesn’t actually have to have anything to do with a five sided/pointed figure.

A pentagon is a regular solid with 5 sides. It fits between a square and a hexagon in the charts on the walls in a primary school.

A Pentagram is a 5 pointed star. Wiccans and other neopagans often use it as a symbol of their beliefs, usually (and I say this deliberately) with the point up. *Some* Satanists use the 5 pointed star (point down) as a symbol of their beliefs. Neither crowd has the right to say “this is what it means”. It has been in use in religious and esoteric teachings in the western world at least since pythagorus, and appears in the temples of ancient Sumer. Of course Wiccans and Satanists are most welcome to expound on what it means *to them*.

Incidentally, the usage of the point down pentagram to symbolise “evil” only dates back to the mid 1800s and the writings of Elephas Levi, and is by no means a universal concept today.

  14. Aquila says:

see, i’ve just read the trolling of, it’s a pentagram, it’s a pentacle… it’s a star of david… actually the last one is wrong and never said i think… but out of it all, it’s a pizza with a star drawn in it. upside down etc. is a matter of where you’re standing, and it being whatever it is don’t matter, what matters is YOU CAN GET A PIZZA SHOP TO DO THIS… i want my pizza blended and then put in a calzone… and i do mean blend the base aswell!!! NOM!

  15. cheese says:

A few months back my kids put “sing Barbie Girl at the door” in the special instructions block – they tipped the guy an extra $5 when he did it.

…but forgot to remove the instructions; so when I ordered a pizza last week…

  16. Firefly says:

Pentacle, pentagram, circles….pagan, satanism, witchcraft. It’s a five pointed star cut into pizza, it ain’t no sacrifice to Satan, it ain’t no representation of the five elements. It’s a pizza. Get over it.

Also upside down is contextual, to the person sitting across the table, it’s at a completely different angle…does that mean that one person is Wiccan and the person sitting across is Satanic. No, it doesn’t. Why? It’s a pizza.

  17. DominaNefret says:

Pentacle and Pentagram are completely interchangeable terms. Arguing about which means what is pointless, they mean the exact same thing. EXACT. Look at a dictionary.

  18. AC Wells says:

Cutting a pentagram into a pizza makes it a penticle.

On an unrelated note, but the reason for my comment, Here in the UK ‘Tossed’ means ‘Jerked off’.. so a ‘Hand tossed pizza’ is not something you’d want to eat.

  19. Sacerdote says:

Why didn’t they ask for chunks of human flesh??

  20. Who cares says:

I can’t believe you guys are getting your panties in a bunch over a pizza. Just laugh about it, damn.

  21. Not a mathematical wiccan says:

Its a pentacle. Mathematical wiccans would know.

  22. Serious Guy says:

    Pentacle or Pentagram?

    NO ONE CARES.

    SHUT UP.

  23. Dr. Duke says:

Cutting a pentagram into a pizza makes it a penticle.

    Don’t you mean a pizzacle?

BTW that pizza was ok, but gave me bad heartburn.

Next time I’m trying the Kosher Star of David pizza.

  24. Chia says:

Who the hell goes easy on the cheese?!?

  25. April says:

    @ sarge,

…nevermind that for many religions, the pentagram’s symbolic meaning is derived from Ceremonial Magic and protection.

note to self: must do this sometime :)

  26. dan says:

thats bogus where did you order pizza from? every time i write anything in the special instructions they never follow up. sure i would ask things like cut it into a heart shape. but i would ask them to cut strips like bread sticks or pizza sticks, nope cant do that. even when im up late and order a pizza at 12 am and i ask them to “please knock quietly DO NOT RING DOOR BELL.” well yeah he rang the door bell and woke up woke up my friends parents. what pizza place follows instructions ?

  27. Mikkel (from Denmark) says:

You pay 15 bucks for a delivery pizza in the US?!! WTF?
