  1. Anto says:

I read the bible (well, at least the jesus part) and it says nothing about homosexuality, Nevah evah! I think the christ-says-homosexuality-is-a-sin thingie was invented by a xenophobic pope.

    • Charlotte says:

There is a bit in the old testament (Leviticus) that says “Thou shall not lie with a man as thou would with a women”

However Leviticus also says not to eat shellfish (Which everyone ignores) or to wear clothes made from mixed fibers, so if her skirt isn’t made from mixed fibres and therefore a sin, then her hoodie probably is!

      • Jess says:

And since all sins are equal in the eyes of The Lord, I guess those two will meet again in Hell.

I really don’t get these ‘think like me or go to Hell’ types. I read the part where it’s my job as Christian to bring the Word of God to the ‘unenlightened.’ I don’t recall any follow up proclaiming that I had to FORCE THE WORD OF GOD DOWN THEIR THROATS.

        • Sarah says:

actually, try 1 Corinthians 6:9 – homosexuals are grouped with the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, and male prostitutes. i used to think it wasn’t mentioned either, but i’ve done some research….and the Bible clearly has a very negative opinion of homosexuality. It’s listed as one of the abominable crimes of Sodom and Gomorra as well.

however, i do think the modern church should be more loving to homosexuals. we should hate the sin, but show love and kindness to the sinner, not judgmentalism – lets face it, we all sin. who’s to say that homosexuality is worse than lying or pirating music? not that we should overlook the sin entirely, but we really should be less harsh on them.

          • Domo says:

Whiiiiich is what Jess was trying to say in not as many words and with a slightly less ‘Holier Than Thou’ attitude.

          • Nicole says:

Actually, if I remember correctly, scholars don’t actually know what the word that is commonly translated as homosexuals in that verse actually means. It used to be translated as Sodomites, without any explanation, until someone just up and decided it meant homosexuals. And Sodom and Gomorra were primarily punished for having a lot of money, but not taking care of the needy. Everything else was listed as a symptom of their greed. There’s a bunch of other reasons why homosexuality isn’t as expressly forbidden as the extremists would like us to believe.

            • Anto says:

That’s the thing i was trying to say (I’m talking ’bout the false/wrong translated text), but I wasn’t very sure about it xD.

              • Sarah says:

well…i didn’t know that. i stand corrected. i had hoped my bible was translated correctly, there isn’t even a footnote about that >:(

            • chaoticidealism says:

That, and for attempting to gang-rape a couple of angels. You really can’t blame God for not taking kindly to that.

          • Van says:

Okay, first, are you fluent in ancient Greek? If you are, there are some theologians that would really like to meet with you, all of them in particular. In the original Greek translation of the bible, the word ‘arsenokoitai’ is used in 1 Corinthians 6:9 among other places, and NO ONE knows what that means with any certainty. It is a very hotly debated term. Many have made educated guesses, but that’s all that they are. GUESSES. As a little ancient Greek lesson, ‘arseno’ means ‘man,’ and ‘koitai’ was typically used as ‘perversion.’ All that we KNOW is that it literally means ‘Man perversion.’ For all we know, it could have been vernacular slang. In the same way a ‘couch potato’ doesn’t actually involve any potatos, ‘arsenkoitai’ might not have had anything to do with perversion. My point is, don’t automatically assume that something’s correct just because you’ve heard someone who thinks they’re an expert tell you something.

As for Sodom and Gomorrah, I’ve got something I need to mention first. I find it convenient that, when the bible speaks about Jesus feeding the 5000 men with fish and barley, theologians universally agree that he actually fed this number, PLUS the wives, sisters, mothers, and children of these 5000 men, because those people weren’t important enough to mention. Yet, we move to Sodom and Gomorrah, earlier on in time, when women and children were LESS important, when the bible says ‘men,’ so many people ignore this fact. In reality, EVERYONE in town wanted to have sex with the angels. A sodomite isn’t a homosexual, a sodomite is a gang rapist.

            • Nicole says:

Ah, those are the details that were just on the edge of my memory. Thank you for that!

            • Yay says:

              I love you

            • Anto says:

              I totally love you

            • Anto says:

I didn’t understtood the last paragraph very well, really, I tried. Do you have a link ’bout that?

            • Sarah says:

i didn’t “assume i was an expert” because i had heard something. i “assumed” my bible was correctly translated. forgive me.

              • Miss Trauma says:

actually, no bible is translated correctly…take for example the “virgin” mary…mary was already married to joseph when jesus was concieved according to the bible. there is no way that they could be married and not have had sex. the common belief that mary was a virgin is incorrect, according to the bible, mary was actually the one born without original sin making her a “perpetual virgin”(by the way, original sin is believed to be guilt)

the bible is just a bunch of stories that were collected by people that didn’t witness any of these events, then they were found by a bunch of old guys who decided to edit out a bunch of things to make it work for their advantage and turned it into a religion that then spawned wars, mass executions, destruction of the ancient ways of life, a division of that religion into many sects, and a HUUUUUGE group of hypocrites that criticize others before taking a good long look at their own fu(ked up lives.

and that is the story of christianity, the end…

                • Sarah says:

um, ok….on this one i’m sure I’ve got it right. Mary and Joseph were engaged, they hadn’t had sex yet – in fact, she was almost stoned because it was a terrible crime to have premarital sex then, and she was pregnant.

your second paragraph is known as the “straw man” logical fallacy, a common fallacy studied in any debate class

i spend every day examining my “own fu(ked up life”. and trying to improve it

what religion are you? allow me to summarize everything i think you believe based on random biases and things i’ve never studied. then you can see how it feels.

the doctrine of original sin has almost nothing to do with guilt….

and if you’ve ever met a real Christian, you’d know we’re only trying to help. even if you think we’re doing a shitty job, we just want to help.

                  • Cypress says:

I hate to be rude, but are you serious? Most of us who don’t believe most of what the bible says are perfectly fine with that. We don’t need your “help”. Thanks for admitting you do a shitty job of it, however.

                  • whoizit says:

Um… If you’re trying to do the best you can, great! But for your knowledge, not to tear you down, but just to inform you, foul language (s word, f word and such) is condemned by the Bible (Colossians 3:8).

                • whoizit says:

I really wish you had put a reference for that last paragraph. It’s hard to prove or disprove statements without knowing where they come from. And I’m about to do the same thing because I’m lazy :) Please don’t get defensive if you reply. I’m just trying to bring out the truth, whatever it might be.
But let’s see… Matthew and John were at the scene. Luke did intense study of first person witnesses. I would assume that Mark did too, but I don’t remember off the top of my head. Luke was litterally there for the second half of Acts, and I guess interviewed people for the first half. Romans through Jude are letters, not historical accounts, so there was nothing to be at to write about. Revelation was a first person account.

Also, according to 1 Corinthians 12:8, the Holy Spirit inspired people with gifts of knowledge (along with other stuff). Somewhere else I can’t remember implies that at least Paul was one of them. Therefore, this makes him an authority on anything ever in the universe because God is giving him knowledge.

            • whoizit says:

It’s not “universally agreed” that that was men, women, and children. I have grown up in the church for all of my eighteen years, and have always heard, from at least four or five different teachers, that it was 5,000 plus women and children.

          • MaxArt says:

Actually, Catholic Church consider homosexual *acts* as sins, but homosexuality (= being sexually attracted by persons of the same sex) isn’t. Gays are considered brothers as everyone else, and deserves respect, and a good christian should try his or her best to avoid violence, discrimination and hatred against them.
I don’t know what Americans think, but the Catholic Church has much more open views than it had, say, 20 years ago. And here in Europe (and in Rome too) none walks on the streets with that kind of signs.

            • That Girl says:

Yeah, I wish I lived back in Germany :(
It disgusts me how people here in America can’t accept people for who they are. It’s the land of the free and the home of the brave. Well, I don’t get how you can live in the land of the free and still be shouted at for your feelings :l
Anyway, to get to my point, people in America don’t like what they don’t understand.

              • Jojo says:

Christians get the same persecution as gays in America, only from different sources. I know it’s hard to be openly gay in most parts of America (except for San Francisco, where I used to live) but I received so much persecution for my beliefs. In California they don’t take kindly to Christians. They lump us all in the same boat with the Crusades, Hitler, etc. They don’t understand that those “Christians” were Christians in title alone. Christian is “christ-like” and Christ never judged a single person for who they were. He judged actions such as using the temple as a trading house, but he never criticized people’s lifestyles. I believe as a Christian I am called to simply love others, regardless of any characteristic that person may have. I am not called to judge. People who hold signs that say homosexuality is a sin are directly defying God’s word, which says “judge not or you will be judged”. They are defying God and are more wrong than the people “sinning”.

            • lolzap says:

              This was in Canada :P

          • Anto says:

I hope so badly homosexuality isn’t worse than pirating music. That’d mean jail for every homosexual-bisexual-etc in america xD

          • fus says:

            Well…
The difference between lying/pirating music and homosexuality is that you choose to lie/pirate music….. You’re not born a liar, but you are born gay. Just saying…

        • Ryder says:

If no one hears the word of god they are automatically saved. But if they hear the word and deny it they go to hell. So aren’t you condemning more people to hell if you spread the word of god?

          • A says:

            I’ll drink to that!

          • chaoticidealism says:

Yeah, you wish it works like that :P Everybody hears eventually, in this life or after, and everybody gets to accept or reject it. Only if you hear about it now, before you die, you don’t waste your life having no clue what the meaning of said life is.

Also, corduroy skirts should be a sin. Ever worn one of those things? They’re heavy and annoying. They feel like those lead dentists’ aprons that they put on you at the dentist’s, only you have to walk around in them. Eugh.

          • Jojo says:

How are they saved without hearing the word of God? Plus this woman isn’t sharing the word of God, she is judging people, which isn’t her place to do. Christians aren’t supposed to judge people. In fact, they are not even supposed to cram their beliefs down other’s throats. They are not supposed to use Christianity to control people either, that’s why Christians shouldn’t use spiritual beliefs to affect their decision in government matters. Gay marriage should be legalized, and I’m saying that as a devout Christian. Because America is not a religious entity. Christians have no place in politics. I mean they do, but not as Christians, just as … people. When we Christians make the mistake of making decisions based on spiritual beliefs, we are imposing our beliefs on others. Call me nuts but that’s what I believe.

          • whoizit says:

Huh? Where does that come from?

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade others. But what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.
            (2 Corinthians 5:10-11)

      • Yay says:

Those friggin twerps only respect the things the want.

    • Anto says:

BTW, when i said there was nothing, i was talking ’bout the new testament, i know they said something about it in the old one xD

      • CP says:

Holy crap, an intelligent discussion on the internet.

      • whoizit says:

I put this somewhere else, but in case you miss it:

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
        (Romans 1:26-28)

        • Orly says:

And now we know homosexuality is perfectly natural, so this can’t be about homosexuality. Or is the bible full of contradictory stuff? :-)

    • xenophobic says:

Yes you have no xenophobia regarding the pope.

    • Jojo says:

Wouldn’t homophobic simply suffice? Xenophobic is a little too broad in my opinion. I do think you’re on to something though.

    • Linda says:

If you would read the Old Testament, you’d find where God destroyed Sodom and Gamorrah. Try it sometime, then maybe you’ll understand. It is a sin.

      • Malfeasant says:

        and so is eating fish.

        • whoizit says:

And so WAS eating fish. For a nation that couldn’t prepare food well. Maybe that was the reason, maybe not. The old testament has some great examples of the mind of God, but was destroyed at the cross. (Galatians 3:13, Romans 7:5-6, Hebrews 8:6-9). However, this issue is in the New Testament. (now I feel like a spammer for posting this three times, so I’ll just post the reference: Romans 1:26-28)

          • MJKE says:

Maybe homosexuality acts were a sin because they didn’t prepare themselves for those? You know, they didn’t have good lube, they didn’t have enemas or douches, they didn’t have latex condoms? Same idea right?

            • Orly says:

MJKE used logic, and, it’s supper effective!

              Prejudice fainted.

              Christian gained 10 xp.

              !

Christian is evolving! … Oh, Christian pressed B.

      • a different Sarah says:

Sodom and Gomorrah wasn’t destroyed because of homosexuality, but because they did not use their wealth to help those in need and because they were not welcoming to strangers. Try reading it, maybe you’ll understand.

    • whoizit says:

Since it looks like no one else said it, here’s one:
For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.
      (Romans 1:26-28)

  2. Sunshine says:

I adore this picture because as far as we can tell, she’s just standing there calmly, letting him have his right to protest peacefully, too.

Agreed with Anto. While I haven’t read it cover-to-cover, 6 years in Catholic School never really said where you could find proof of how Jesus feels on this matter. I personally think he sounds like a pretty cool guy and would be accepting of it, even if he didn’t really approve.

  3. Basara549 says:

The parts against homosexuality are all in the Old Testament – in the same chapters prohibiting sex with family members.

Just so you know… OF course, it looks like the protester’s parents only read half that chapter, as well.

  4. DanOldTestament says:

Of course, in Sodom and Gomorrah, when the evil gay lecherous crowd shows up to molest the two (hetero?) men, Lot protects the men and appeases the crowd by tossing out his young teen-aged daughters to be gang-raped by the crowd.

So, are they saying Lot is righteous for prohibiting homosexuality there?

    • jklinders says:

I used that very event to take down a few notches a man who very self righteously told me he could refute anything from the Bible I used to argue that it was full of holes. For someone who claimed to know the Bible cover to cover(Pentecostal at that) he admitted ignorance to that event and was left speechless. Heh heh, he was my boss too.

      • Anto says:

        Yay for you!

        • jklinders says:

I think I actually heard his jaw hit the floor when I told him I would rather be in hell than share heaven with the likes of Lot. Good times. You really needed to be there because he was using that Homer Simpson like tone that all idiots seem to use before they get themselves shot down. Best part is I was too valuable to fire…heh heh

          • Anto says:

Oh, I love when things like that happen. You feel like you’re the king of the world xD. I think the i-know-everything-’bout-the-bible fact made it more satisfactory right?

            • jklinders says:

Heck ya. The conversation started around the time same sex marriage became legal in Canada. He was commenting that it was wrong that some Anglican churches were going to allow those marriages. I advised it was silly to take the Bible word for word with all the contradictions. I think he was ready for me to start quoting Leviticus, doesn’t seem like he was expecting Genesis at all. Moses was a pretty nasty example of humanity as well.

              • amimizunofan22 says:

The (not so) funny thing about situations like this is that BOTH sides use the “holier-than-thou” attitude. The guy who thinks he knows everything about the Bible makes it incredibly obvious and tries to lord his supposed superiority over others. You, on the other hand, talk to him as “just another one of those stupid Bible-thumpers”. Really. You’re on here calling him and all people like him “idiots” that speak with the bumbling foolishness of Homer Simpson and laughing about being able to “stick it to the man” that is not only a “Bible-thumper” but also your boss. Is your sense of superiority more justified than his? And here I am, trying to convince you that you’re doing the same thing he is, thus implicating myself in the whole matter. Really, when it boils down to it, I think we ALL have a holier-than-thou attitude at times.

    • Anto says:

Lot is right for being homophobe, aaaand for prefer two mens to his “beloved” daughters

    • DTS says:

Hey, its the old testament! Selling your own daughter as a sex slave (Exodus 21:1-11), child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 and Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9) is all open game! Jephthah burned his daughter to death to win a battle in (Judges 11:29-40 NLT), hmmm Deuteronomy 13:13-19 NLT is especially good, if a single non-believer is in a town, BURN the entire town with everyone in it. For those that say the old testament rules don’t apply, read “It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid.” (Luke 16:17 NAB). Anyway, sorry to get deep, I just love it when someone can talk with some depth of knowledge.

But I do agree, those purple corduroy skirts are a sin. =)

      • Anto says:

I think i’m going to be atheist. Really? Woah, people like that shouldn’t be the sinners instead of the homosexual ones? Duh, the bible is so messed up…

        • chaoticidealism says:

A lot of it is history, not theology. Reporting on events, not recommending them. And yeah, back then, people really WERE messed up. Stuff like that apparently happened regularly, and not just in ancient Israel.

    • Mike says:

To be fair, Lot also had a threeway with both his daughters…

      • amimizunofan22 says:

To be fair again, they drugged him. You try getting unintentionally wasted and still having a reasonable amount of self-control (hell, even self-AWARENESS).

    • whoizit says:

Was he righteous for prohibiting homosexuality? Yes. Was he righteous for tossing out his kids? No. When does the bible ever praise his actions there?

  5. Steveroot says:

A massive WIN for the guy. :-D

  6. SammiJ says:

They interviewed him on CBC a couple days ago; this is only the beginning, it gets “worse”; the signs got more and more ridiculous as more and more people joined in.

  7. Jessica says:

If you’re going to be Christian, shouldn’t you read the ENTIRE Bible, cover to cover? I did that right before I made my Confirmation. Guess what? That’s what made me not a Christian.

  8. NCA says:

Actually what’s kind of interesting is the main part of the Old Testament that is quoted as being against homosexuality is actually talking more about hospitality. And in most of the cases ‘against homosexuality’ the verb in the original Hebrew isn’t the one meaning sex. Its the one meaning rape. So the Torah is telling guys not to rape guys, doesn’t say anything about not sleeping w/ them!

  9. ItsAGermanThing says:

    That guy is awesome!

  10. Amy Louise says:

I don’t gte why people are so homophobic – especially people withing the church comunity. The bible teaches us to “Love Thy Neighbor”. This means we should love the people around us for who they are. Why are homosexualy not included in this?

Seeing this sort of thing just makes me sad.

  11. EllieWhite says:

Ok, sure. Homosexuality is a sin. But so is adultery, disrespecting your parents, taking God’s name in vain (OMG, anyone?), and coveting other people’s stuff (keeping up with the Jonses). MY question is, where are the protesters for THAT? I want to see signs for those.

  12. Mina says:

Interesting, the Bible also states (repeatedly) that it is not the right of men/women to judge others, that is God’s right alone. By judging and protesting homosexuals and saying they will be punished, aren’t they breaking God’s word?
And, for the record, corduroy is a sin. Jesus was far too great a guy to have corduroy-clad followers.

    • whoizit says:

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
      (Matthew 7:1-5)

Notice the full context. After you have stopped sinning in a certain way yourself, then you can tell others not to. It’s not a matter of judging, it’s a matter of hypocrisy.

Obviously there’s something to not judge

Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
      (Luke 6:36-38)

But is it sin, or the sinner?

      For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
      (Romans 3:23)

That is a judgement, made by Paul, a Christian. So we can recognize sin. Also, this could explain why we can’t “Judge” somebody. Because we’re all just as guilty of sin.

I think two is good enough for now.

  13. Reverend Gently Feltersnatch says:

Posit: God made the world and everything in it.
God made homosexuality. Who are you to go against god’s creation?

    • amimizunofan22 says:

That is only valid if you assume either God makes humans’ choices for them or that the “gay gene” is a scientific fact (which, as someone who used to be bisexual and is now straight, I think I could counter).

      • Angel says:

You make me happy not to be a Christian. You can’t be bisexual one minute and straight the next. It is called hormones, old chap. Obviously they were raging. And if you really DID like men in that way; you can choose to pursue the feelings, but you cannot choose to have those feelings, so if the case is that you were genuinely attracted to other men and weren’t just labeling yourself something because of your hormones, you still are bisexual but are refusing to pursue the act.

You don’t choose to be hungry.

But you choose to eat. If you do not, you will starve.

Don’t listen to the Bible; it’s a load of rubbish and was edited by Constantine quite obviously. Please, you’re simply humorous. And I’m not laughing *with* you. Gays were born gay. Straights were born straight. Get over it because it’s never going to change.

        • whoizit says:

Just because you can’t change your desires doesn’t mean you can’t change your actions. What about the guy with the desire to rape (probably most of us, just well under control). Is it wrong to have that desire? No, there’s nothing that he can do about that. Is it wrong to give in? Absolutely.

  14. Jb says:

I could be wrong, since I can’t locate it, but I believe the Bible also says, God love the man and hate the sin.
So no, God doesn’t hate gays, he hates the homosexual acts.

    • Angel says:

There is no sin to hate, actually. The Bible hates the act. God does not.

The Bible has been edited over the years.

      • whoizit says:

        Proof?

This is only somewhat relevant, but here’s a hate verse:

For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
        (James 1:20)

  15. Smiley says:

this makes me happy not to be christian, because it looks like christians can be douche bags sometimes.

    • amimizunofan22 says:

As can anyone in any faith system. Just because people are Christians doesn’t mean that they’re not human anymore (however elite they may think themselves to be), and, as humans, they are going to make mistakes like everyone else in the world.

  16. lalaland says:

im not a cristian or anything but from wat ive been told, JESUS ENCOURAGED LOVE. it seems like ppl ignore the love part and process the other teachings so much that it comes out as IF YOUR GAY, YOU ARE A DISGRACE. f*ck that. ya christ can set u free. free from the churches trap. lol

  17. Shads says:

gotta love those ‘super christians’ that don’t even truly follow the book they site as ‘evidence’ for their hateful, ignorant beliefs…

  18. Sasha says:

I am in complete awe. A polite, smart discussion on the internet? I tip my hats to all of you.
But I agree, Jesus is supposed to love all people. Some people just don’t acknoledge that, even when they are spouting “his” word.

  19. Lindsey says:

Let’s not forget that Christians, just like any religious group is made up of individuals with different feelings and opinions All of us interpret the Bible in different ways…many of us use it as a teaching tool, filled with metaphors and stories that helped mold modern Christianity. Please don’t judge us by these hateful individuals, ideally being a followers of Christ should cause you be a more loving and accepting individual, who strives to make to world we live in a better place…and that is not accomplished by spreading hate in the name of God. I’m a devoted Christian and I have many diverse friends that share different beliefs and backgrounds than I do but because of my Christian up bringing I know that the difference don’t matter…love thy neighbor, love thy enemy and never speak for God..because God loves his creation, even when we do wrong he loves us

  20. xenophobic says:

Yes can dispute the argument so we make fun of her clothes. As for Christ saying nothing against Homosexuality, try this Bible scholars.

    Matt 5:17-18.

It may take you tiny minds a minute to figure it out. Tick tock.

    • Anto says:

Actually, he said something about a few laws. One of them is the “do not eat yaddayadda…”. And you seem to be the tiny-minded one!

    • Cypress says:

Just because someone doesn’t have the same beliefs as you doesn’t mean they aren’t intelligent. The way I see it, you’re the one who’s unintelligent!

      • whoizit says:

Definitely, there are smart people on both sides of many arguments. Unfortunantly, as smart as they are, many are wrong. Being smart doesn’t mean knowing everything. There is only one truth in debates like this, no matter how much we fight it or work for it. Just search for the truth, whether you like it or hate it.

    • Angel says:

You seem to be the tiny minded one, here, xenophobic! You along with your ignorant, closed minded comments. The Bible is a book of faith, not fact, and so you can quote all you want. I can quote too!

“Lobster is an abomination” Leviticus 11:9-12

Notice how homosexuality is described under this word, also?

      Fail.

      • whoizit says:

It appears that with those verses, God kept a country with little knowledge of disease from poisoning itself, then negated the command later. (Galatians 3:19-26, Romans 7:1-6, Hebrews 8:6-9)

  21. retard says:

Talk talk talk bible this bible that… where is god?

  22. RCFlight13 says:

Argh, I just want to find these “God hates homosexuals” people and beat them to death with their own fucking signs!

  23. Twobirds says:

I don’t like dogs. So I have cats. If you don’t like gay marriage. Don’t get gay married. No one is making you. And… maybe sewing your own clothes from old slip covers from the couch….

The whole situation makes me too upset to say anything intelligent, so that’s all I’ve got.

  24. Hello says:

Ohmygod! I go here (it’s a University) and was there when this happened! I love the way he protested her sign without doing something overtly obnoxious. I love the whole thing where he felt personally attacked by her sign so he made a mock sign to show how it feels to have something about yourself hated openly by someone else.

  25. Mephistopheles' Bro says:

So if mixed fibers are a no-go, and we can’t be gay… Loincloths? nah. Just kill deer, take the hides, and run around in deerskin trenchcoats? And don’t kiss your best same-sex buddy?

  26. Asscajones says:

No Buttsecks? I think \b\ would disagree.

  27. rcda says:

my favorite thing in the world is when something funny is posted and people get really into their comments. i feel like this picture should deserve a couple of lol’s ratfl’s and whatnots and then we all go about our sinful and forgiven days

  28. jjr says:

Silly lady, homophobic/preachy signs are for Westboro Baptist church members.

  29. VickyLee says:

Let’s face it; the Holy Bible is incredibly old, and it has been translated many times. Not to mention there have been many studies researching parts that may have been left out or may have been changed/mistranslated.

(On a personal note, I believe a lot of things God wrote in the Bible were designed to help mankind proliferate. The Bible says that there was originally only one man and woman, and their offspring were eventually wiped out by a flood, leaving the population decimated. If God didn’t tell people not to eat certain things or, erm, do things a certain way, we might have died out, no?).

    • whoizit says:

Yes, lots of studies. And they find a lot of and, or, and but type errors. But can you show me one doctrine that was added or removed from these studies?

Yes, there are bad translations (mostly on purpose). Yes, many texts have minor misspellings or a few little words lost or added. But honestly, it’s amazing how little of this there is.

      • a different Sarah says:

What are you talking about? Scholars have found numerous major mistakes in translations and text copying. Some churches removed entire books from the Bible. Other parts of the canonical bible were written hundreds of years after the New Testament and added to the Bible. Have you done any biblical studies outside of Sunday School? Because I really don’t believe you know what you are talking about.

  30. Empress says:

She left herself wide open for that one…………..LMAO WIDE OPEN hahaha
